2014 President’s Message

2013 was a banner year for the Marblehead Conservancy. The successful conclusion in March of
the 2-year effort to help acquire the Lead Mills property was only a beginning. The reports of our Treasurer, Membership, and Trails Committees show how much the Conservancy’s work is appreciated. How wonderful!

This year our Board of Trustees along with a number of invitees will be taking a look ahead and deciding on fresh opportunities and directions for the Conservancy. Marblehead’s updated Open Space and Recreation Plan will give guidance. To this we add what we have learned from our past efforts and the stream of suggestions and questions coming from you.

We remain particularly focussed on expanding the open space awareness of Marblehead’s youth. This we do in collaboration with others. Doing the job better is our challenge.
