Ware Pond, at 3.8 acres is embedded in a much larger 8.8 acre area comprised of both wetlands and uplands. It is easily accessible from either the Swampscott line of the old railroad bed or, on the opposite side, from Marion Road or Warren Road. Wheelchair access from the end of Warren Road leads to an elevated boardwalk and viewing platform. In the winter when the pond is adequately frozen, this point also serves as a spot to change to ice skates. Across the pond another viewing site on the Marion Road extension affords a lovely spot for observing foliage change through the seasons. With a brief 834 feet of trails, no one will tire of examining all that area trails have to offer the visitor. The trails do not encircle the pond.
